Breaking News English

Breakingnewsenglish.com has a huge collection of news-related English lesson plans based around topical news stories. Not only are the stories topical, and so always fresh, each story comes with its own lesson plan.

As of January 15th, 2014 there were no less than 1,825 FREE Lessons listed on this wonderful English language resource website. New lessons are added regularly and are available in a downloadable PDF format. All lesson plans have related quizzes and some also have MP3 audio support. Given that it's all free, we think it's a superb resource!

Our opinion; The Breaking News English website might not look inspiring when you arrive on the home page, but the availability and variety of material available makes this an interesting resource for teachers, particularly if you're looking for something topical and ready-made.
