The British School in Reggio Calabria, one of the largest Cambridge Authorised Centres in South Italy, is looking for a Senior English Teacher to expand our teaching staff.

The successful candidate will:

• Be able to deliver engaging, well-prepared, learner-centred lessons to a range of levels and class types
• Be committed to promoting a positive, caring learning environment
• Have experience of preparing learners for PET, FCE and CAE (experience of CPE and IELTS is an advantage)
• Ideally have some experience of placement testing, conducting lesson observations and teacher training
• Be eager to work as part of a team, with a genuine desire to help others develop professionally
• Be reliable, organised and flexible
• Be computer literate (all registers are completed, and timetables accessed, online)
• Be in possession of the Cambridge CELTA and DELTA, or its Trinity equivalents

Due to Italian law, we are currently only able to offer employment to EU Nationals. Some knowledge of Italian is an advantage, but is not essential. Weekly working hours are an average of 20 teaching (contact) hours + 8 hours dedicated to Senior Teacher duties (e.g. observations, placement Tests, leading training sessions etc.)

Compensation

• Paid holidays and sick leave
• Renewable UK Contract with National Insurance and contributions
• Accommodation provided at a reasonable price (20% of Salary circa) close to school
• Return Flight costs of up to 200 Euros will be reimbursed on completion of contract
• Salary commensurate with experience. Min monthly salary 1200 Euros Net + End of contract bonus of 1000 Euros net
