The British School of Maglie, in the Puglia region of Italy, require two CELTA qualified mother tongue English teachers to join their team in a professional and friendly school. Applicants must hold a current driving licence.

The British School is a well-established private language school and Cambridge Examination centre located in Maglie, a beautiful town in The Salento, right at the bottom of the Puglia region. We are 10km from the stunning coast including the seaside resorts of Otranto and Alimini on one side of the peninsular and Galipolli on the other.

The positions available would suit teachers who want an exciting experience and the opportunity for career development while living Italian life and culture. Teachers will be trained as Cambridge Examiners providing them with extra qualifications, experience and an excellent hourly exam rate paid on top of their salary!

Classes are general English at all levels from young learners to advanced and courses are in-house in our modern private school and external in local state schools. Our teachers and staff are enthusiastic and professional and we promote a relaxed and friendly working environment.

Compensation

• Full-time teachers receive 1000 euros per month take home pay for a 25 hour teaching week
• A British contract with UK contributions paid by the employer and paid holiday at Easter and on all public holidays
• Cambridge Examiner training and a much higher hourly rate for examining (which you will be doing almost every day in May and June and at least 1 or 2 session per month from January to April)
• Accomodation is organised for teachers in the town centre of Maglie, within walking distance from the school, at a low cost
• A school car is provided for your use at work and in your free time
