Picturebooks in ELT

Sandie Mourão, creator of the Picturebooks in ELT blog, is a freelance English language teacher, teacher trainer and materials writer based in Portugal. Sandie is a writer for educational publishers and co-editor of a free access online journal, the CLELEjournal. She's passionate about picture books and wants to share that passion through her blog.

Edited extract from the site; My intention is to discuss picturebooks, and the pictures they contain. Why? Because, as ELT teachers, we generally choose picturebooks because they contain words our students might know. I intend to share what I discover in my readings, describe new titles, discuss particular illustrators and their styles and generally promote the picture in picturebooks.
